BrezLink lets you connect and share files without sharing your phone number with the people you chat with. This notice explains how we use information to provide the service.
Accounts and profiles
When you sign in with Google, we receive information used to identify your account, including your Google account identifier, email address and name. We store your chosen username, display name and privacy settings to manage your account and connections.
Your chat partners can see the profile information shown in the app. You can control username discovery and read receipts in Profile.
Chats, files and invitation links
We store messages, shared files and related delivery information to make conversations available to their participants. Invitation links and approved browser access let the intended recipient or browser open a chat. Share these only with people and devices you trust.
A temporary connection has an expiry date. Expiry stops further messaging; existing history may remain available. It does not automatically erase all messages, files or copies saved by another person. The app’s clear, delete and end-connection actions have different effects, explained when you use them.
Payments
For one-time checkout, we send your email address and order details to the payment provider. BrezLink does not ask for your phone number for these purchases. The provider may ask for details needed to authenticate your payment. We store billing location, tax amounts, transaction references and payment status where applicable to confirm paid access and manage billing.
Card and payment authentication details are handled by the payment provider through its checkout. That provider’s own privacy terms also apply.
Cookies, storage and service providers
Session cookies keep you signed in or connected to a guest chat. Browser storage remembers preferences such as your theme. Technical information about requests, errors and connection activity helps us operate the service and prevent abuse. When you vote on a feature concept, a functional session cookie remembers your choice. We store a keyed browser-token hash and abuse-limit hashes, not an email, account ID or raw IP in the vote records. These votes are indicative of browser sessions, not verified unique people.
Google Analytics automatically uses cookies and browser information to help us understand visits, sign-in, invitation creation, file-sharing activity and plan interest. Google derives approximate country and browser/device information. When you are signed in, an opaque account identifier lets us measure the same account across browsers; we clear it on sign-out. We report file categories and counts, not contents or file names. Our events omit chat identifiers, invitation tokens, URL query parameters, messages and your account email address. Browser privacy settings and blockers may prevent analytics collection. We also derive aggregate product totals from existing account, invitation, conversation and payment records for administration; this does not send your activity to Google.
We use providers for sign-in, hosting, network delivery, file storage and payments, including Google, AWS, Cloudflare and Cashfree where enabled. Information needed for those services is processed by the relevant provider.
Your choices and requests
You can change profile privacy settings, manage attachments, end connections and sign out. Email p8800138@gmail.com to ask about your information, corrections or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some payment, security or legally required records may need to be retained.
